Tools Premium Legal

Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Tools Premium browser extensions: what data they touch, where it goes, and the controls you have over it.

Effective Date: October 8, 2026

This policy covers the Tools Premium browser extensions ("our extensions"), published by Tools Premium ("we", "us"). We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run them. This policy is written to be read in one sitting and to satisfy the Chrome Web Store disclosure requirements, including the limited use policy.

The sections below cover, in order: the network origins our extensions contact, product-specific details for each extension, license key storage, how we handle your email address, payment card data, our limited use commitment, the absence of analytics and trackers, the controls you have, and how to contact us.

  1. Network origins our extensions contact

Our extensions communicate with a small, fixed set of network origins. We list each one and the reason for it.

    • youtube.com. When you open the extension panel on a YouTube page, the extension reads data that is already present in that page, such as the video title, thumbnail image, channel name, and public view metrics, in order to run the analysis locally in your browser. This is a read of the page you are already viewing. The extension does not send your YouTube page data, browsing history, or watch activity to us or to any server.
    • The Tools Premium entitlement worker at https://entitlement-worker.<account>.workers.dev (TO FILL). This is a Cloudflare Worker that we operate. Our extensions contact it only to validate a license key and to read your entitlement state, which is your email address, subscription tier, and expiry date. Entitlement state is stored in Cloudflare KV. No other data is sent to this worker.
    • api.lemonsqueezy.com, reached indirectly. Our extensions do not call the Lemon Squeezy API directly. When you choose to upgrade, an extension opens the Lemon Squeezy checkout page in a normal browser tab. Your interaction with that page, including any requests to api.lemonsqueezy.com, happens between your browser and Lemon Squeezy under Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy, not inside our extensions.
  2. Product-specific details

Each Tools Premium extension connects to a small set of origins for its own function. We list them per product below and will add new entries here as we launch new extensions.

    • YouTube Thumbnail Preflight: connects to youtube.com to read the watch page (no data is sent), to the Tools Premium entitlement worker for license validation, and opens Lemon Squeezy checkout in a browser tab.
  3. License key storage

When you activate Pro, the license key issued by Lemon Squeezy is stored on your own device using chrome.storage.local. It stays in your browser profile and is not uploaded to any analytics or third-party service.

The license key is transmitted only to the Tools Premium entitlement worker described in Section 1, and only for the purpose of validating that the key is genuine and mapping it to your entitlement state. We do not use the license key for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than validation.

  4. Email address

We receive your email address from Lemon Squeezy through a webhook that fires when you complete a purchase. We use that email address for one purpose only: to associate your purchase with your entitlement, so our extensions can confirm that you are a paying Pro user and until when.

This is a purpose limitation. We do not add your email address to a marketing list, we do not use it for profiling, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to providing the service you paid for. We never sell your email address. We do not share it with anyone except Lemon Squeezy and Cloudflare, who act as our processors for payments and entitlement storage respectively, and who process it only to provide those services.

  5. Payment card data

Our extensions never see, request, transmit, or store your payment card number, card security code, or any other payment instrument details. All payment is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction.

Because Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record, your card details are entered on Lemon Squeezy's own checkout pages and are governed by Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy and payment security practices. No card data passes through our extensions or through our entitlement worker at any point.

  6. Limited use

We handle all data in line with the Chrome Web Store limited use policy. Any data our extensions obtain, including page data read for analysis, your license key, and your email address, is used only to provide the service you requested and purchased.

We do not use this data for any purpose that is unrelated to the core function of our extensions. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, we do not use it to build profiles, and we do not transfer it for anyone else's commercial benefit.

  7. No analytics, tracking, ads, or third-party trackers

Our extensions contain no analytics software, no tracking pixels, no advertising code, and no third-party trackers. We do not set advertising cookies, we do not fingerprint your device, and we do not build a behavioural profile of you.

There is no telemetry sent from our extensions beyond the license validation request described in Sections 1 and 3. Analysis runs locally in your browser, and the results are shown to you without being reported back to us.

  8. Your controls: removal and cancellation

You can remove your data and end your subscription at any time.

    • Remove the license key. Open your extension's Options page and select Clear. This deletes the license key stored in chrome.storage.local on your device. You can also simply uninstall the extension, which removes its local storage as well.
    • Cancel the subscription. Cancel through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal, using the link provided in your purchase receipt email. Cancellation stops future billing.
    • Removing entitlement data. Clearing your key and cancelling removes your entitlement. Once a subscription is cancelled or refunded and the entitlement is revoked, the associated email address, tier, and expiry data held in our Cloudflare KV store is removed, so it is no longer used to grant access.

To ask us to delete any remaining data directly, contact us using the address in Section 9 and we will action the request.

  9. Contact and effective date

If you have questions about this policy, or want to request access to or deletion of your data, contact us at support@toolspremium.store.

This policy takes effect on the Effective Date shown at the top of this page: October 8, 2026. We may update it from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date and post the updated policy at this URL.

Placeholder to complete before publishing. Replace the entitlement worker origin once the backend is deployed. It is highlighted on this page.
